Pretty much everyone knows about Elf Bar, just look at how popular the Elf Bar 600 is, but I’ll bet a lot of people don’t know that they do refillable kits too. They really should! Especially the Elfx 2. It’s barely more complex than a prefilled kit, but I’ve got the option to use any 50% VG juice I want! Plus, they somehow managed to fit a huge 1700mAh battery in it.

The Elfx 2 is the latest addition to Elf Bar’s refillable pod range and successor to the Elfx vape kit. This device, like Malcolm said, boasts a built-in 1700mAh battery, which is a 70% increase over the original. It also features three different power modes; Eco Mode to conserve battery, Normal Mode for everyday vaping, and Power Mode for when you want a boost to flavour.
The kit includes two Elfx V2 pods, both of which feature built-in dual mesh coils and work best with 50% VG e-liquid. Speaking of e-liquids, the kit also comes with any three 10ml Elfliq nic salt e-liquids of your choice, so you can get multiples of the same flavour if you’ve already got a favourite, or try a few different blends.
I assumed I would be familiar with Dojoliq flavours, since they’re inspired by the Dojo Blast 10k refills and that’s what I was using before I switched to an Xros 5. I was wrong, and after trying every flavour I didn’t recognise, Peach Raspberry has easily become my stand-out favourite. The peach is very sweet at first, then the tangy raspberry kicks in to counter it before it gets too much, which means it's easy to vape all day.

Peach Raspberry nic salt e-liquid by Dojoliq plays between sweet and sharp flavours. The distinct notes of summery peach take centre stage on inhale, sharpened by the zingy taste of raspberry on exhale. Available in either 10mg or 20mg nic strengths and with a 50% VG concentration, it’ll pair best with a refillable kit designed for MTL (Mouth To Lung) vaping.

I had the original Hyola Pro Max 8000 for quite a while, mainly because of the sheer number of flavours the refill packs came in. The only real downside was that it was hard to tell when the battery might go since it only had a small light to tell me. The new model has fixed that issue handily, since now the LED screen shows me exactly how much charge the device has got, so I’m not caught out with a suddenly flat battery. Plus it’s still compatible with all of the old refills!

The Hyola Pro Max 8K pod kit is a simple and straightforward big puff vape kit. Whilst it features the same 800mAh battery as its predecessor, it boasts a bold metallic finish and a crisp LED display which will inform you of the battery’s current charge level. Each kit includes a Hyola Pro Max 8000 refill pack in one of eleven different flavours.
The packs are made up of a 2ml prefilled pod and 8ml refill container and are ready-filled with 20mg of nicotine salt e-liquid. When combined they can provide up to 8,000 puffs. The prefilled pod houses a built-in mesh coil, which quickly heats the e-liquid to improve flavour. Once the pack runs out, you can just swap it for another in one of the dozens of sweet fruit, cool ice or sparkling soda-inspired blends that Hyola offers.
Ohm Boy have always been really good at mixing fruit flavours, they’re usually something punchy mixed with something sweeter, like cranberry and apple or rhubarb and peach. Apple, Elderflower & Garden Mint is a little bit different, it’s more of a mellow vape with the red apple and elderflower flavours. As for the mint, it’s a fair bit sweeter than I expected but it does add a nice cool finish, which is what counts in my opinion.
